Fri Oct 5: OPEN 3 to 7 pm, for specifically a roundtable discussion on Mental Illness Awareness Week. Roundtable starts at 3:30 p. This will be moderated by Dr. Robert E. Litman of CBH Health, and I'll be pitching in as well. Consumers, family members welcome! We will not have typical drop-in center activities simultaneously, so please only come if you want to attend the roundtable. Light refreshments will be served. Tue Oct 9: Open 4 - 7 p: at 4:30 pm: Crossroads Farmers' and Takoma Park Market talk on their "Fresh Check" program, which accepts Food Stamps and matches up to $10 in farmer's market tokens (so, you spend $10 of food stamps on farmers' market produce and eggs/milk etc., you get an additional $10 in tokens... those two are the ONLY Farmers' Markets in Maryland that accepts Food Stamps. Check out http://www.crossroadsfarmersmarket.org/ They will be bringing produce samples! Takoma Park Farmers' Market is held in Takoma Park on Sundays, 10-2 pm, year-round, and Crossroads Farmers' Market in Langley Park on Wednesdays, 3-7 p through October 31.
